The Enneagram and Evolution

A New View of the Integral Life

Words of Wisdom

Basically, there are levels of consciousness, which appear to span an entire spectrum from subconscious to self-conscious to superconscious (Murphy, 1992; Wade, 1996; Wilber, 1986 2000b).[2] This overall spectrum of consciousness is well-known to the world's major wisdom traditions.

‘Consciousness is the highest capacity a human being can experience at will, and its importance is that it opens us up to what is beyond the individual will: the creative and enlivening powers of the Divine Unknown.'
‘The human being is a channel for the creative power of the universe... ... .Being in relationship to the Creative Power cannot be compared to any other freedom. What is freedom, if not a spontaneous connection to this power? An awakened human being begins to live in contact with and work in cooperation with the Creative Power.’

Helminski

‘We live in an evolutionary universe, and those currents of evolution appear to operate in the human mind as well.’

‘Having used thought to transcend the body, we have not yet learned to use awareness to transcend thought. That, I believe, will be the next development in men and women.’

‘When a person rediscovers that his deepest Nature is one with the All, he is relieved of the burdens of time, of anxiety, of worry; he is relieved from the chains of alienation and separate self-existence.’

Ken Wilber

‘The arising of space consciousness is the next stage in the evolution of humanity.’

Eckhart Tolle

‘The central aim of knowledge is the recovery of the Self, of our true self-existence’

‘The first thing to do in the sadhana (spiritual work) is to get a settled peace and silence in the mind. It is in the silent mind that true consciousness can be built.’

Sri Aurobindo
